I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's bout.

Former twice unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I plan to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite those words, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to speak negatively about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's biggest money-making draws, consistently making massive earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the usual confrontation, with their height and weight contrast evident, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
